MIDLAND BLVD. HOUSE FIRE CLOSES ROAD

Police and fire responders closed a portion of Midland Boulevard from Highland Avenue down to Boyden Avenue when a fire broke out at a single-family home near Warren Road.

No injuries were reported after smoke filled much of the first floor and basement and forced it to be evacuated at about 9 a.m.

Maplewood Fire received mutual response from South Orange, Millburn and Irvington.
