TONIGHT'S EVENT TO MOURN LOST BLACK LIVES MOVED TO SOMS

A notice from organizers states:

The location for our ‪#‎NotInOurTwoTowns‬ event has been moved to South Orange Middle School due to an Asbestos problem in the high school. The time will still be the same. Doors will open at 6:00pm and we will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Please help us spread the word about the location change, we want to make sure everyone who wants to be heard, is heard! Due to the change in location we will not be separating the young adults by male and female but we will keep them together and talk as a whole. Those of you who have questions about what discussions will be held with the teens and young adults feel free to direct message me.
We will also need five volunteers to help us expedite seating in the auditorium, and get the young adults from the auditorium into our meeting room, if you would like to help please message me.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who is following our movement and who has been to all or any of our events. Our main goal is to keep the community together, and to know our neighbors better than we did last week. The only way that we can create change is by attacking the problem head on and coming together to build solutions that work. This will be the space for us to do that. We cant wait to meet all of you, and allow you to get to know us better and vice versa. See you all soon

Mayor Vic Deluca and South Orange President Sheena Collum are also expected to attend.

There is also a Facebook page for the event HERE

This follows two related events this past week, a march from Maplewood to South Orange on Thursday and a candlelight vigil in Maplecrest Park on Friday.
