ARMED ROBBERY, ANOTHER TIRE THEFT LEAD POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:

December 13, 2015; Robbery; At approximately 9:30 AM, a female that was standing in the driveway of a Peachtree Rd residence was approached by a black male on a bicycle in his early 20’s.  The male began asking her a question and then displayed a handgun and removed her purse from her shoulder.  The male then fled on the bicycle towards Parker Ave with the purse.  The victim was not injured.

December 8, 2015; Motor Vehicle Theft; During the overnight hours an unsecured Jeep parked on Colonial Terrace was stolen. It was later recovered in Irvington.

December 10, 2015; Tire/Rim Thefts; During the overnight hours, the tires and rims were stolen from two vehicles.  One was parked in a driveway of a Baldwin Rd residence and one was parked in the driveway of a Madison Ave residence.

December 11, 2015; Burglary; During the afternoon hours entry was made into the basement window of a home on Berkley St.  At the time of the report, the proceeds if any, were unknown.
