SCHOOLS SUPER LAUNCHES COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE, BUT OFFERS FEW SPECIFIC PLANS

Schools Superintendent John Ramos rolled out a new communication tool today on the district website aimed at improving input from residents via a direct question and comment system.

Let's Talk is touted as a way to help "build trust and open the lines of communication between parents, staff, students and our community. We want to make it easy for you to reach us at your convenience -- anytime, anywhere."

Ramos announced the program at a meet and greet Thursday night at Columbia High School during which he also offered up his own view of the plans for the district, an education summit for November 10, and his view that "we've been focusing on the effects and we're not focusing on the cause."

Let's Talk, which can be found HERE, allows residents to direct comments and questions to the district via specific links to administrators on specific topics.

I see a link to "Let's Talk" on the district website in the upper right hand corner. Not sure what your criticism of the link is referring to.
