ONE PARENT'S SPECIAL SERVICES NIGHTMARE REVEALED

During the heated discussion over the special services program in the South Orange Maplewood School District Monday night, which ended in the split decision to appoint a new director from within, several parents spoke out about poor treatment they had received.

Among those was Danielle Perrotta, a parent of a Jefferson School pre-schooler and herself a fifth-grade teacher at Tuscan School.

Her impassioned story about what she described as bullying of her child on a bus drove the point of many home.
