MAPLEWOODSTOCK BEER GARDEN APPROVED AGAIN IN SPLIT VOTE

For the third year in a row, Maplewoodstock will include a beer garden, but not without continued opposition from at least two Township Committee members.

The TC voted, 3-2, Tuesday night to permit the alcohol sales after a presentation by event organizers, with members Marlon Brownlee and India Larrier voting against the idea.

"I continue to maintain that it's not appropriate to serve alcohol at a family-friendly event," said Brownlee. "Children are at the event and will see this and ask questions about it."

Larrier agreed, stating, "I also don't think it's appropriate at all."
