STATE SCHOOLS REPORT: CLINTON RANKS LOWEST, SOUTH MOUNTAIN HIGH, CHS "LAGS" IN SOME AREAS

The state released its annual 'Comparison Performance Report' for New Jersey public schools today.

Each individual report for the South Orange-Maplewood Schools can be found HERE.

The report ranks each school's academic performance compared to others of equal size in the state. For our schools, the percentile rankings are as follows:


Maplewood Middle School - 72nd

South Orange Middle School - 81st

Clinton - 41st

Seth Boyden - 66th

Jefferson - 70th

Tuscan - 66th

South Mountain Annex - 83rd


The Columbia High School report states it ranks academically in the 58th percentile statewide, adding it "lags" in some areas, but is "above average" in others. It says, among other things:


This school's academic performance is about average when compared to schools across the state. Additionally, its academic performance is high when compared to its peers. This school's college and career readiness is very high when compared to schools across the state. Additionally, its college and career readiness is very high when compared to its peers. This school's graduation and post-secondary performance lags in comparison to schools across the state. Additionally, its graduation and post-secondary readiness significantly lags in comparison to its peers.
