To all Maplewood Township Residents,
Important weather information:
The roads and sidewalks will be slippery in town. The plow trucks and road crews will work to salt and plow as often as possible. Avoid all unnecessary travel, and use extreme caution if you decide to go out.
Due the declared emergency, illegally parked or abandoned cars are subject to be ticketed and towed. Overnight parking on the street is NOT permitted during the storm and are also subject to be ticketed and towed.
Due to the weather the Township of Maplewood will be closing all Municipal Offices at 3:00pm today (2/8/13).
The Maplewood Memorial Library will close today (2/8/13) at 4:00PM.
Maplewood Schools are closing for a half day today (2/8/13), or by 1:00pm.
In case of power loss at your home please contact your utility company immediately, then contact the Police Department for emergency shelter information at (973) 762-3400.
The tax payment deadline has been extended to Monday, February 11th, 2013 by 4:30pm.
The Jitney Meeting scheduled for Saturday, February 9th at 10:00 am has been cancelled.
All Recreation activities for tonight (2/8/13) and tomorrow (2/9/13) have been cancelled. (Baseball/Softball registrations will be cancelled for Saturday, but will resume Sunday).
The Community Center and Burgdorff Cultural Center for the Performing Arts have cancelled all activities for tonight (2/8/13) and tomorrow (2/9/13).
