MAPLEWOOD VILLAGE BANK ROBBERY

The Bank of America in Maplewood Village was hit by a bank robber in the middle of a busy Saturday morning yesterday when a man made off with several thousand dollars, according to police.

The Star-Ledger reports:



Maplewood Police are investigating a bank robbery at the township's Bank of America on the 100 block of Maplewood Avenue Saturday morning.

Police confirmed the robbery took place at about 10:30 a.m. but did not have further details while the investigation is still underway.

"The only thing I know for sure is no report of injuries and no report of a weapon displayed," said Lt. Dean Naddeo.
