STAR-LEDGER ON COLUMBIA HIGH FOOTBALL CHANCES - FIRST GAME TONIGHT

Not sure if they like CHS football or not, but here is the Star-Ledger's take:

COLUMBIA

OFFENSE:
QB Deion Hudson returns and has some nice targets in wideouts Manny Grant and Sydney Cruggs and TE Brian Odom. Willy Malone, Corey Green and Marcus will see time in the backfield of spread attack. Enosh Mutachwa, getting college attention, will anchor line at tackle. Rounding out line is Rodney Cenat, Marveen Larson, Ben Venette and newcomer Kay Kinsey.

DEFENSE: Mutachwa switches over to LB and Quincy Nieves is a hybrid SS/LB in 46 alignment. Larsen, Cenat and Cliff McIsaacs are tackles and Odom, Josh Nijman will be ends, with Malone seeing time. Maki Berry will be a LB, Trent Miller at safety with Tyshawn Thomas and Eriq Royal at the corners.

ETC.: Dave Curtin returns as head coach after resigning a week before the season last fall. His 2010 team tied the school victories record by going 9-1.

By the way, the first game is at 7 p.m. tonight at home against

Kearny. Come cheer them on!
