MAPLEWOOD REC USING NEW WATER SLIDE TO URGE MEMBERSHIP

Just a day after the Township Committee voted to approve a 30%-plus pool fee hike for 2012, the Maplewood Recreation Department sent out an email urging residents to join up so they can use the new water slides being installed as part of a $1 million renovation.


The email states:


Make a Splash This Summer
at the Maplewood Community Pool!



Children and adults alike will be able to slide right into summer at the newly renovated Maplewood Pool. TWO new waterslides are being added. A new pool deck with better drainage is being installed along with new dive platforms and diving boards, and handicapped accessible ramps into the pool. More than $1million in improvements are being made.

So start planning the family “staycation” in Maplewood now, because the kids won’t want to be anywhere but the Maplewood Community pool this year.
