WATER RESTRICTIONS LIFTED FOR MOST OF MAPLEWOOD

Mayor De Luca just posted this at MOL:

Also on the township website.

I just received this from NJ American Water:

New Jersey American Water has lifted the boil water order in Maplewood, except that
customers on the following streets REMAIN UNDER A BOIL WATER ADVISORY:

Maplewood Township:

· Claremont Avenue, West of Wyoming Ave. (Rte. 577)
· Colinwood Road, West of Wyoming Ave. (Rte. 577)
· Colinwood Road South
· Crestwood Drive
· Durand Road, West of Wyoming Ave. (Rte. 577)
· Fairview Terrace
· Lewis Drive
· Morse Drive
· West Lane
· Sagamore Road, from Mountain Ave to Wyoming Ave. (Rte. 577)
· Tower Drive
· Warner Road
· Woodhill Drive
· Wyoming Ave (Rte. 577) from Claremont Ave to Woodhill Dr.

We continue to ask our customers who do see their service restored to cease any outdoors water use, including car washing and lawn watering, while they conserve water indoors as well. This will help to ensure that our systems continue to recover to the point that all customer have normal water pressure.

While residents may see increased water pressure, service conditions continue to fluctuate across the system and it is possible that customers could see some service variation until the entire situation stabilizes. As their distribution system continues to recover, New Jersey American Water customers may also experience discolored water. Customers are advised not to consume water that is discolored. Should customers experience brown or discolored water, they should allow the water to run for no more than five minutes to see if the water clears. If the water doesn't clear in five minutes, customers should try running it again later.
